In Summary

  • CCAV is governed by a statutory constitution referred to as the ‘Rules of Association’. Accordingly, the association structure consists of a Committee of Management elected annually by the membership. The Committee of Management consists of the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and up to four committee members. In addition, a part-time Secretariat office is operated to provide resources and support to the Committee of Management and CCAV members.
  • CCAV supports members through the dissemination of information, guidelines and reference materials via member updates, meeting minutes, advice and referrals over the phone and via email, as well as through the member login section of the website. Members also have access to the directory of CCAV members to enable individual networking.
  • CCAV facilitates an informal system of mentoring, whereby members may receive industry specific advice and assistance, from other members who have specialised experience or skills in aspects of cemetery and crematoria operation or management.
  • CCAV provides member wide support by providing a united ‘peak industry body’ voice to the media or other groups, when dealing with issues raised by the general public, government, lobby groups, or single interest groups.
  • CCAV members can confidently refer to the Association’s Guidelines, Policies and Code of Ethics and are encouraged to provide input into the development and ongoing assessment of these documents.
